General Information

Levbid is a drug and classifies as an anticholinergic agent.

Levbid Extended-Release Tablets are used for

It is used to treat stomach, intestinal and bladder diseases. It is used to treat excessive sweating and saliva production. Stomach secretions and cramps can also be controlled using a course of Levbid.
Do NOT use Levbid Extended-Release Tablets if:
Levbid should not be taken if the patient is allergic to any ingredient in this tablet. You can ask your doctor or pharmacist about the ingredients of Levbid. Along with that do not use Levbid if you have any esophagus problems, blockage of the stomach, bowel motility problems or any other stomach disease. If any severe bleeding has led to glaucoma, myasthenia gravis or any heart disease then do not use Levbid.
Do not use narcotic pain medicines along with Levbid because it increases the side effects of Levbid. Potassium chloride also has the same effect on this tablet.
Do not use Ketoconazole along with Levbid as its efficiency is greatly decreased by Levbid.

How to use Levbid Extended-Release Tablets

Levbid should only be used according to the prescribed way. Do not take Levbid for a longer time than the given course. Levbid is not to be used in bigger amounts than the prescribed amount.
Levbid is to be taken 30 to 60 minutes before having a meal. You can ask your timings from your doctor for the doses. The Levbid Extended-Release Tablets have to be swallowed as a whole. Do not crush, break or chew the tables as it may cause lots of the drug to be released at one time.
If you have also are taking a course of Antacids then ask your doctor about the dosage of the two drugs.

Possible side effects of Levbid Extended-Release Tablets

Some people may or may not face any side effects of drugs. Common side effects occur in most cases. These include:
  • Blurred vision;
  • Constipation;
  • Dizziness;
  • Dry Mouth;
  • Enlarged pupils;
  • Headache;
  • Nausea.
Get immediate medical help if the following serious side effects are faced:
  • Agitation;
  • Behavior changes;
  • Confusion;
  • Eye focusing difficulty;
  • Irregular heartbeat;
  • Memory loss;
  • Speech changes or
  • Vomiting.
The patient might face side effects other than those listed here. If any unusual symptom is caused by the use of Levbid then contact your doctor immediately.

If OVERDOSE is suspected

If the patient takes too much of this medicine then immediately contact your nearest poison control centre. Or else get help from the nearest medical centre.
Symptoms of an overdose include:
  • Disorientation;
  • Fever;
  • Dry skin;
  • Seizures;
  • Dizziness;
  • Headache;
  • Nausea or
  • Vomiting

Proper storage of Levbid

Levbid is to be stored at room temperature. Room temperature: 68 to 77 Degrees F or 20 to 25o C. It is to be kept in a tightly closed container. Keep Levbid away from sunlight, heat and moisture. Do not place it in bathrooms. Keep Levbid out of the reach of children and away from pets.

What happens if I miss a dose?

If the patient misses a dose then take the missed dose as soon as possible. If the scheduled next dose is near then skip the missed dose. Continue the rest of the course as usual. Do not take any other medicine to cover up the missed dose.
