Nasonex General Information
Nasonex is a nasal spray used to treat nasal allergy. The symptoms of nasal allergy are the running nose, sneezing, itchy nose, or congestion. Trees, grass pollen, or dust can also cause nasal allergy. Nasonex can also treat nasal polyps (growth in nose).
Nasonex Uses
The Adults and children of 2 years or above can use Nasonex to treat nasal allergy. Once the treatment starts, the improvement can occur within 11 hours. The benefit of Nasonex can be seen within one or two weeks. You must use Nasonex as told by your physician.
You must not use Nasonex in large amount. This spray is used just once a day or as prescribed by your physician. Once you have used 120 sprays of the medicine, through the remaining.
How Take Nasonex
The dose of Nasonex is one to two sprays in each nostril once a day for adults. Moreover, for children one spray in each nostril once a day. You may use Nasonex two to four weeks before allergy season, after consulting your physician. Before using the spray, shake the same well.
The dose of Nasonex may vary depending on various factors such as age, or any other medicine that you are taking.
Nasonex Warnings
You must always consult your physician before taking this medicine in case you have had measles or chickenpox, tuberculosis, herpes, cataracts, or any allergy; you are pregnant or breast-feeding your baby, had any kind of infection, ulcers in nose, or surgery on nose.
Nasonex can affect growth of children, being a steroid. Consult physician on regular basis in case you are giving medicine to children.
Keep Nasonex away from eyes. In case it does get into your eyes, wash with water, and consult your physician immediately.
Nasonex Missed Dose
In case you missed a dose, take the same once you remember or if it is time for next dose, skip the missed dose. You must not take extra dose.
Nasonex Side Effects
Consult doctor immediately in case you feel any of the following side effects: Hives, Difficulty in breathing, Swelling of face, lips, tongue, throat, Ongoing nose bleeding, Sores in nose, Wheezing, Vision problem, Fever, Body ache, headache, Nausea, Joint pain.
Nasonex Storage Advice
US Product: Room temperature (25 Degrees C)
Canadian Product: Between 2 and 25 Degrees C
Keep the medicine away from light, moisture, children, and pets.
Nasonex Overdose
It would not cause any serious harm, in case you have consumed overdose. However, still consult your physician and seek his advice. In case you are using Nasonex for long term, it may lead to easy burning, changes in shape of body fat in your face, neck, or waist, increase of facial hair, menstrual problem, or loss of interest in sex.
Nasonex More Information
You must get regular checkup by your physician in case you are using Nasonex for long term to know your progress. This medicine can lower blood cells. Hence, avoid being near people who have infection or are sick.
