Renova is a group of medicine, which is applied topically to help the skin to renew itself. It contains vitamin A to make a skin feel smooth and good. There could be other uses of this medicine.
These types of medicines are also known as retinoids. It works by affecting the growth of skin cells.
Renova Uses
Some of the uses of Renova are to improve the skin's appearance by affecting the application area and reducing wrinkles and fine lines, making it appear smooth. The roughness is removed and it is known to reduce skin color.
How Take Renova
Renova is normally advised to be used along with a skin care ointment or lotion, which can be used as a moisturizer and as a sunscreen.
Apply Renova as the doctor advises. Extra application of this medicine may not make it work faster; it only increases the side effects.
Do not apply on a wet skin; clean and dry the area of application before using it. You must wash your hands prior to and after putting this medicine.
Wait for 1 hour before washing the treated area.
In case your skin is cut, bruised, scraped, or sun burnt or in case there is any other form of rash, do not apply this medicine to the surface.
Renova Warnings
Do not use in case you are pregnant or are breast-feeding. Direct exposure to sunlight may cause problems; hence, it is wise to protect yourself with proper clothing in the sun.
Be careful while applying medicine on the face. In an event, it enters the mouth, nose or eyes, use water to wash it properly.
Avoid using on skin with rashes or other wounds. Do not apply without doctor's advice.
Renova Missed Dose
In the event of missing applying as advised, immediately apply it and continue as usual. Never apply extra or more than instructed.
Renova Side Effects
Immediately stop using the medicine, in case you note difficulty in breathing, and swelling of the facial features. This is an allergic reaction to the medicine.
Some less serious side effects are itching, redness, swelling, peeling, irritation or discoloration of the skin. Contact your physician in such cases.

Renova Overdose
Overdose can only happen if you have applied more than prescribed medication. In case you see excessive peeling, redness or uneasiness on the skin, it can be considered an overdose. Contact the physician for a remedy. Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine.
Renova More Information
Renova is not known to have repaired skin damaged from an exposure to the sun nor should it be used as an anti-ageing lotion.
