Ultracet General Information
Ultracet is called as an opioid analgesic. It is known as narcotic pain reliever. It is used in cases of moderate or severe pain for the time period of five days or less. It has two pain relieving agents. One is tramadol hydrochloride and the other is acetaminophen.

It is a very strong pain killer and is used in cases where moderate to severe pain continues to a period of five days or less.
How take Ultracet
When you are taking the drug ultracet, then the dosage instructions should be followed strictly and you should stop its use as soon as possible. This medicine is not meant for children. The normal dosage is about two tablets after every 4 or 6 hours gap. The maximum limit is 8 tablets per day for a maximum five days period. In case of kidney problem the dose can be reduces to two tablets after every 12 hours. The dose can be reduced also in case of old people.
Ultracet Warnings
It can cause serious or fatal allergic reactions in few people normally after the first dose.
Medical help should be sought immediately in case there is some problem in breathing or if there is break out in hives or blisters. It creates a pressure on the brain and can also affect the liver. So one should inform the doctor if he has some serious head injury or some liver problem. It can also cause seizures.
Ultracet Missed Dose
Ultracet should be used only according to the need. Even if you have missed a dose, you should never take two doses at once.
Ultracet Side Effects
The common side effects of ultracet are constipation, sleepiness and increased sweating.

Ultracet Overdose
It is really dangerous to take ultracet more than what is prescribed. If an overdose of ultracet happens than medical help should be sought immediately. The common symptoms of overdose of ultracet include cardiac arrest, seizures, vomiting, and loss of appetite, nausea, depressed breathing, coma, a generally ill feeling, lethargy, profuse perspiration and pallor.

There is also possibility of physical or mental addiction of ultracet. That is why you should never exceed the prescribed limit of taking this drug. If you feel withdrawal symptoms like sweating, insomnia, nausea, diarrhea, erection of hair, chills anxiety, pain or difficult breathing than you should consult your doctor. If you are taking some other medicines along with ultracet than its effect may increase, decrease or alter. You should inform your doctor about the medicines which you are already taking. It is also very important to know that ultracet is not suitable for pregnant ladies or breast feeding mothers.
